contact usOur Central Bank E-monitor
We monitor "soft" information contained in Central Banks Monetary Policy Press Conferences.
Research shows that the amount of "non-verbal" communication contained in monetary policy press conferences can reflect important information over- and-above text statements. Our analysis provides a new way of systematically capturing "soft information" embedded in central bank communication, enabling us to measure not only what is said, but also how it is said.
What information does our Central Bank E-monitor capture?
Our CB E-monitor applies sophisticated facial expression recognition and voice analysis techniques to extrapolate the Chairman's emotions during the press statement. Our algorithm converts the emotions in a single score which allow us to summarize the overall emotional dimension of the press statement.
How can I access the CB E-Monitor?
To access our CB E-monitor you will need a log-in access. You can request access via our website, you will only need to provide few details.
